MOVING ON PROGRAM

Lynne Brick's and The Center for Restorative Therapies at Mercy Medical Center are partners in women's health, with the establishment of a new program called "Moving On" to help women recover physically, psychologically and emotionally following breast cancer surgery.

Mercy/LB
Moving On

"For any woman moving forward with her life after breast cancer surgery or reconstruction, weight management and overall fitness are very important to her continued recovery, personal sense of wholeness and well-being, and her ability to resume a healthy, active lifestyle of wellness.

Moving On.... will help a woman be herself, only better!

Moving On.... is designed with a woman's healing in mind!

Moving On.... will help a woman add years to her life and life to her years!"

— Lynne Brick, RN

"At Mercy, we care about the whole patient. Working together with Lynne Brick's, Mercy is helping patients create a lifestyle of wellness."

— Maureen McBeth, PT

The program is a continuum of care for the patient, as she completes her post-surgical rehab at Mercy's Center for Restorative Therapies, and progresses to the next level of her recovery process at Lynne Brick's in Owings Mills. In a "triad of support and training" teaming up the patient, her Mercy physical therapist/occupational therapist, and her Lynne Brick's certified personal trainer, a fitness program is designed to meet her individual needs. Patients receive three free sessions with their Certified Personal Trainer and 30 days free use of the "women-only" Lynne Brick's Women's Health & Fitness Center in Owings Mills, MD and Lynne Brick's Belvedere Square..

The Moving On program is the only one of its kind in the area and plans to expand to include post-surgical orthopedics patients.
