Water Safety Instructor
Brick Bodies is hosting a WSI course. This is a 36 hour course. Content is based on instruction of the refinement of swimming strokes & diving. This program will prepare you to instruct Parent and Child classes, Pre-school, youth, adult, and adapted swim lessons.
As a Water Safety Instructor you will be able to teach: -Learn-to-Swim Levels 1-6 -Parent and Child Aquatics -Water Safety Presentations

Prerequisites
· Must be 16 years of age by the last day of class or older · Be able to complete 25 yards of the following strokes: Freestyle, Backstroke, Elementary backstroke, Side stroke & Breaststroke · Be able to complete 15 yards of Butterfly · 1 minute of Back float & treading water

American Red Cross Lifeguard Training
Show the World what you are Made of, be a Lifeguard!
Learn lifesaving skills to help keep people safe in, on and around the water.
Course length: approx. 30 – 37 hours
Swimming Prerequisites -
1. Swim 300 yards continuously, using these strokes in the following order:
- 100 yards of front crawl using rhythmic breathing (to the front or side) and a stabilizing, propellant kick
- 100 yards of breaststroke (must be demonstrated “using a pull, breath, kick and glide sequence.”
- 100 yards of either front crawl or breaststroke, which may be a mixture of front crawl and breaststroke.
Note: There is no time requirement for this skill, but the participant may not stop during the swim.
2. Timed event: Swim 20 yards using front crawl or breaststroke, surface dive to a depth of 10 feet, retrieve a 10 pound object, return to the surface and swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the 10 pound object which must be completed in 1 minute and 40 seconds.
Note: the candidate must hold the object with two hands and must keep his or her face above the water. Breaststroke or rotary kick is suggested but not required.
Ages: Must be 15 years of age on last day of course
Important Information: All pre-requisite skills must be demonstrated to continue with course, no refunds will be issued for failure to complete pre-requisite skills. Candidate must attend all classes and pass all written and physical tests to successfully complete course.

April Lifeguard RECERTIFICATION course: **Please Note: All candidates must possess a current AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD certification to participate in the RECERTIFICATION course, proof of certification must be attached to registration form. Candidates who have expired certifications must participate in the FULL certification course**
Lifeguard Instructor Training Course: Learn the skills needed to become a Lifeguard Instructor, candidates must pass all pre-requisite skills as listed above, and all written and physical tests to continue in the course, and must attend all classes to receive certification. No refunds will be issued for failure to demonstrate any pre-requisite or requisite skills.
Ages: 16 and up
Must attend all dates and complete pre-requisite requirements for consideration for completion.

AMERICAN RED CROSS CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer Review
- March 31: 9:00am-12:00pm
- Cost: $90
Designed for individuals with a duty to respond to emergencies, this program combines discussions, video and hands-on training. Real-life rescue scenarios reinforce decision-making skills. Free quarterly refreshers. Course covers how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants until more advanced medical personnel take over.
Prerequisites: Individuals may participate in a review course up to 12 months after the expiration of their CPR/AED certification.

AMERICAN RED CROSS Standard First Aid with CPR/AED – Adult
- March 24: 9:00am-12:00pm
- Cost: $90
Training meets OSHA Guidelines for First Aid Programs and combines lecture, interactive video demonstrations featuring emergency scenarios that are likely to occur in a variety of environments and hands-on training to teach participants lifesaving skills.
First Aid: Participants learn to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies, such as burns, cuts and scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck and back injuries, and heat and cold emergencies.
CPR Adult: Participants learn how to perform CPR and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults
CPR Child and Infant: Participants learn how to prevent, recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in infants and children under 12.
