The Road to 100 Fit Tip: Sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you.

Contrary to popular belief, Lynne and I don’t always feel like working out. Just like the rest of you, sometimes we are a bit tired. Sometimes we are a bit rushed. Sometimes we are a bit lazy. When you feel that way you can:
1. Shorten the amount of time you do your cardio.
2. Cut down your strength training to just one set per exercise.
3. Do a short, intense, interval workout for your cardio.
4. Lighten the amount of weight you use for your strength training exercises.
5. Do a quick mini-circuit using pin-loaded weight machines.
6. Lower the intensity of your cardio.
7. Do a quick, intense mini-circuit of push-ups, pull-ups and dips with 30 seconds rest in between each set. Perform three complete rotations of all three exercises. Use a weight-assist machine if necessary.
8. Do a circuit of three different pieces of cardio equipment going for 10 minutes on each piece.
9. Go for a walk.
10. Stretch.
11. Go harder, go softer.
12. Go faster, go slower.
13. Go heavier, go lighter.
14. Go longer, go shorter.
The key is to do something, no matter how you feel. You’ll thank me in the end, you know.
Corny joke for the day: What did the pony say when it had a sore throat? “Sorry. I’m a little hoarse”.
