    Great Strides - Cystic Fibrosis Walk 2015


    Great Strides provides a great opportunity for people within the community to get involved in a great cause. Participants can form walk teams at their workplace, through their clubs and organizations, or with friends and family.

    Walk day is a fun, family-oriented event with a healthy 5k walk, children’s activities, food, and festivities that participants look forward to year after year.

    University of Maryland Health & Wellness Conference


    Presented and organized by the Center for Integrative Medicine, part of the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Join University of Maryland faculty and other world-renowned experts to “Explore, Experience and Engage” in health and wellness during this enlightening one-day conference.

    There will be a variety of informational lectures and refreshing hands-on workshops on topics such as: local sustainable food strategies, yoga therapy, treating chronic fatigue, sound healing, therapeutic art, the science behind acupuncture, and much more.

    Continuing Education will be available for some health professions, but everyone is welcome to attend. A healthy, delicious lunch will be provided, too.

    Make-A-Wish Kids Triathlon

    When: May 17th, 2015
    Where: Padonia Park Club

    This year’s event will bring the Make-A-Wish Foundation back to Padonia Park Club in Baltimore and will take place on May 17th, 2015.
    The Make-A-Wish Kids Triathlon gives kids the opportunity to swim, bike and run to help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions in their community. This fun and active event not only offers exercise through the triathlon, but athletes are also invited to a wonderful post-race picnic complete with games, prizes, special guests and delicious food. Top finishers and top fundraisers will receive awards and each participant will get a commemorative T-shirt, goodie bag and victory medal!

    Keep Punching 5k, 1 Mile Walk & Kids Races

    Keep Punching strives to support patients, health-care providers, and researchers in their fight to prevent and eradicate brain cancer and minimize treatment-related side effects that may adversely impact function and comfort.  All proceeds assist patients, families, and clinicians who wish to pursue integrative approaches to healing and researchers investigating both traditional and complementary cancer-related therapies.

    Get Ready! Get Set! Get Fit! 5K Run-Walk and 1-Mile Walk


    The 2015 Get Ready! Get Set! Get Fit! 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Walk will be held on the campus of CCBC Essex. The event starts at 8 a.m. The 5K race, which is professionally managed by Charm City Run, attracts participants of all ages who run and walk the course. Awards are given for the top three male and female 5K finishers overall, as well as the top three male and female runners in all age categories. The 1-Mile Fun Walk is perfect for our younger and older participants. Door prizes, including a $500 Grand Prize, will be awarded (must be present to win). All participants receive a complimentary long-sleeved T-shirt, water on the course and post-race refreshments. Trophies will be awarded for largest team, most money raised by an individual and most money raised by a team.
