    Crohn's and Colitis Team Challenge

    When: July 12, 2014

Sarah Thompson-Welsh is participating in an exciting experience through a program known as Team Challenge. Team Challenge is the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s endurance training program. This exciting fundraising program trains you to run or walk a half marathon while helping the Foundation raise funds to find a cure for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Sarah chose this program because she was diagnosed with Crohn’s almost 2 years ago. Her weight has fluctuated over the past several years, but she wanted to make a change. Sarah started back at the gym a year ago, but seriously started working out 4 months ago and that is when she started to see progress. Sarah said she would never be a runner and here she is running several days a week, 4 months after dedicating herself to getting fit and healthy. Sarah wanted a new challenge to push herself and found Team Challenge for The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. The foundation means a lot to Sarah who has Crohn’s, along with other family and friends who have Crohn’s and Colitis. Sarah wants to help find that cure to help herself, her family, friends and millions of other people in the same situation.
