The Little Sisters of the Poor are an international congregation of Roman Catholic women religious founded in 1839 by Saint Jeanne Jugan. Together with a diverse network of collaborators, we serve the elderly poor in over 30 countries around the world.
Continuing the work of Saint Jeanne Jugan, our mission is to offer the neediest elderly of every race and religion a home where they will be welcomed as Christ, cared for as family and accompanied with dignity until God calls them to himself.
- Fort McHenry Tunnel Run/Walk

Participate in the Fort McHenry 5K Tunnel Run/Walk and take advantage of a rare opportunity to walk/run through this unique venue! A $30 donation registers you for the 5K, however, additional fundraising is encouraged to show your support of the thousands of Special Olympics Maryland athletes.

- The Kellie Thompson Shiley 5K & Family Fun Run

Our mission is to honor Kellie Thompson Shiley’s competitive spirit and love of physical fitness, family, and friends by holding an annual 5k and Family Fun Run on Maryland’s beautiful Eastern Shore. Kellie Thompson Shiley was just 31 years old when she unexpectedly passed away after complications from giving birth to her twin daughters in July of 2012. She also left behind a loving husband and 2-year-old son. All proceeds will benefit the Kellie Thompson Shiley Family Trust, which was established to ensure support for her three children.

- Best Buddies 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run

Where: Oregon Ridge, 13401 Beaver Dam Rd, Cockeysville
On Saturday, November 15, 2014, more than 500 runners and walkers will gather at Oregon Ridge Park to join the Army of Inclusion and support the 5K and 1-mile Fun Run to benefit Best Buddies Maryland. Timing and race management to be provided by Charm City Run Events. After the race enjoy live music, food, and many exciting post race activities in the park. Funds raised at this event will benefit life-changing services of Best Buddies to offer friendship and inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
