Walk for Wellness

Saturday, May 10th
9am at the NCR Trail Paper Mill Entrance

Join Group Exercise Instructor Sarah Karp on the NCR Trail for a Mental Health Awareness Walk, free for members and guests of all fitness levels.

An intentional walk focused on your mental awareness rather than fitness goals. With each step you take during this one-hour walk, you’ll focus on breathing, and feeling the sensations and movements of your body. This process increases intention and brings awareness to both your movement and your environment. We’ll walk rain or shine!

What to Expect:

  • Power Walking intervals paired with Mindful Walking intervals
  • Duration: 1 hour (estimated two miles)
  • This section of the NCR Trail is flat, crushed limestone

Trail Entrance:

  • Mile 0.5 Paper Mill
  • Take York Road (Route 45) to Cockeysville (Exit 18 off I-83). Turn right(east) on Ashland Road. Bear left onto Paper Mill Road. Go less than a half-mile, crossing the trail to the parking lot on the left. There are spot-o-pots located a half-mile north, just beyond mile marker 1.
