POLICIES FOR OUR GYMS IN BALTIMORE

BRICK BODIES GUEST POLICY*

  1. We reserve the right to deny entry to any guests who are not in good standing with Brick Bodies.
  2. Guests are restricted to one visit every 30 days with a free pass. However, guests may visit as often as they would like upon paying applicable guest fees.
  3. Guests must be at least 18 years old unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  4. Photo ID required for all guests.
  5. No guests are allowed access after 9 pm Monday-Friday and after 6 pm Saturday & Sunday (hours vary by club).
  6. All guests before 8am are required to pay the applicable guest fee. Should this guest choose to join within 30 days, the amount paid will be put toward their membership.
  7. All guests must follow the Brick Bodies Code of Conduct.

BRICK BODIES CODE OF CONDUCT

In order to provide a comfortable experience in the club, all members and guests must please observe the following policies:

  1. Talking on a cell phone is strictly limited to the lobby.
  2. “Selfies” are permitted in the exercise areas, but in accordance with Maryland state law, it is prohibited to photograph, take video, or record the voice of another person without their full knowledge and consent.
  3. Cell phone usage of any kind (including talking, texting, and playing music) and photography, video, or voice recording of any kind (including “selfies”) is NEVER permitted in the locker rooms, saunas, or steam rooms.
  4. You may watch videos on a personal device such as a cell phone or tablet, but offensive material such as extreme violence or adult content is not permitted. 
  5. Listening to music out loud through a speaker or your phone is prohibited in all areas. If you wish to listen to your own music, headphones are required.
  6. For the safety and security of our members you must have a photo on file, and you must check-in at the service desk on every visit. 
  7. Do not leave belongings, such as gym bags, on the floor anywhere in the club. Please use the lockers and cubbies provided.
  8. Re-rack all plates and dumbbells and put away all equipment, including mats, bands, etc. after use.
  9. Wipe down equipment after use with disinfectant wipes provided.
  10. When planning to use a piece of equipment for more than one set, it is common gym courtesy to allow other members to work-in between your sets as you rest. If a member asks to work-in, please allow them. You can resume your next set once the other member has completed their set.
    1. Please do not sit on equipment and scroll through your phone between sets. It is inconsiderate of others who might be waiting to use the equipment.
    2. If you wish to work-in with someone else who is resting on a piece of equipment, smile and ask them politely if you can please work-in between their sets. Do not engage in an argument with someone who is not kind about sharing the equipment. Instead, alert a Brick Bodies associate and we can explain the rules.
  11. Wear only proper exercise attire:
    1. Proper athletic shoes are required; no boots and no open-toe shoes. Shoes and socks may be removed for yoga and Barre classes but must be put back on prior to leaving the studio.
    2. Athletic shoes must be worn on the platforms at all times.
    3. If you remove your shoes while on a mat in the stretching area or turf, you must put them back on before walking around the gym. 
    4. No jeans allowed.
    5. Exercise attire must be clean/laundered.
    6. Exercise attire must not have inappropriate language or images.
  12. Saunas and steam room:
    a. Street shoes and socks are not allowed in the saunas and steam room. You may wear shower shoes if they are exclusively used for the shower, sauna and steam room and not worn outside.
    b. Oils and food are not permitted.
    c. Pouring water on the heating element is not permitted.
  13. The following will not be tolerated, and can/may/will lead to suspension or termination of membership:
    a. Disrespecting our staff and/or members.
    b. Disruptive behavior of any kind, including fighting, profanity, and abuse of equipment.
    c. Attempting to photograph, take video, or record the voice of another person without their full knowledge and consent.
  14.  Practice proper hygiene.
    a. Apply deodorant prior to workout.
    b. Refrain from using colognes and perfumes until after your workout.
    c. No gum chewing.
  15. No children under the age of 12 are allowed in the locker rooms.
    a. During Family Swim, children under the age of 12 are allowed with a parent/guardian.
    b. No children of the opposite gender are allowed at any time.
  16. Group Fitness and Team Training class policies:
    a. No conversations while class is in progress, either in person or on the phone.
    b. No phone use in class. In case of an emergency, please take your call in the lobby.
    c. If you are unable to attend a class you have reserved a space for, you must cancel at least one hour prior to the start of class via the Brick Bodies app or myiclubonline. If you do not cancel your reservation and do not show up, you will be charged a $15 no-show fee.
    d. If you must arrive late or leave early, please do so in a discreet manner so as not to disturb the experience of others in the class. If you are more than five minutes late for a class with a waitlist, your spot may be given to someone on the waitlist.
  17. The Brick Bodies Code of Conduct will be updated from time-to-time, and it is understood and agreed upon that it is the member’s responsibility to review it and adhere to any updated policies. In addition to ensuring a comfortable experience for all members, the Code of Conduct exists to protect YOU, your fellow members, our club staff, and the club property from harm. It is impractical to list every prohibited behavior in this document, whether pertaining to courtesy or safety, so all members must agree to abide by any decisions made by our management team and must immediately cease whatever behavior our management team instructs you to cease based solely on their judgment of what is disruptive, inappropriate, or unsafe.

Failure to abide by the Brick Bodies Code of Conduct or any club rules or policies can/may/will result in disciplinary action up to and including membership suspension or termination.

BRICK BODIES CODE OF CONDUCT ADDENDUM

By using the club after June 1, 2020 you are agreeing to the amendment to your Brick Bodies Membership Agreement.

In order to provide the safest and most comfortable experience within our clubs, all members must observe and adhere to the following policies. When appropriate, we will update this information to allow for adherence to government mandates and current CDC regulations.  

  •  If the government mandates masks must be worn inside the club, then you will be required to adhere to wearing a mask covering the mouth and nose while in the club. 
  • You are expected to disinfect all equipment you use with provided disinfectant wipes.
  • For the safety of all, you should not visit the club if you are sick. 

1. I agree that I am personally responsible for my safety and actions while using this Brick Bodies Club (the “Club”) operated by Brick Bodies Padonia, LLC, Brick Bodies Reisterstown, LLC, and/or Brick Bodies Rotunda, LLC (collectively the “Owner”). I agree to comply with all Club policies and rules, including but not limited to all Club policies, guidelines, signage, and instructing. Because the Club is open for use by other individuals, I recognize that I am at higher risk of contracting any illnesses related to the current viral pandemic (referred to as “COVID-19”). With full awareness and appreciation of the risks involved, I, for myself and on behalf of my family, spouse, estate, heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, and personal representative, hereby forever release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Owner, Brick Bodies Fitness Services, Inc., or their related companies (collectively the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever, directly or indirectly arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me related to COVID-19 whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties, any third-party using the Club, or otherwise, while participating in any activity while in, on, or around the Club and/or while using any Club facilities, tools, equipment, or materials.

2. I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all costs, expenses, damages, claims, lawsuits, judgments, losses, and/or liabilities (including attorney fees) arising either directly or indirectly from or related to any and all claims made by or against any of the Released Parties due to bodily injury, death, loss of use, monetary loss, or any other injury from or related to my use of the Club facilities, tools, equipment, or materials, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise, even if specifically related to COVID-19.

3. By choosing to continue my membership, I acknowledge and represent that I have read the foregoing COVID-19 Waiver of Liability and Indemnification, understand it and accept it voluntarily as my own free act and deed, including without limitation the COVID-19 Waiver of Liability and Indemnification requirements contained in this document; I am sufficiently informed about the risks involved in using the Club to decide whether to sign this document; no oral representation, statements, or inducements, apart from this amendment to my Membership Agreement, have been made; I am at least eighteen (18) years of age and fully competent; and I accept the terms of this document for full, adequate, and complete consideration fully intending to be bound by the same. I agree that this COVID-19 Waiver of Liability and Indemnification shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Maryland law, and that if any of the provisions hereof are found to be unenforceable, the remainder shall be enforced as fully as possible and the unenforceable provision(s) shall be deemed modified to the limited extent required to permit enforcement of the COVID-19 Waiver of Liability and Indemnification as a whole. This COVID-19 Waiver of Liability and Indemnification remains in effect until the Club notifies you otherwise.
