The spring equinox marks the energetic beginning of a new year. It’s a natural time to reset, recommit, and welcome what’s next. In yogic tradition, it’s also a time when 108 sun salutations are practiced to welcome the sun and build tapas, or heat, strengthening focus and clearing out mental and physical stagnation. In this all-levels specialty class, your breath sets the pace. You’ll be guided through a fresh, accessible take on sun salutations that balances effort and ease, strength and surrender, movement and stillness.
You’ll have plenty of options and modifications—plus built-in opportunities for rest as needed—making this class approachable for beginners and deeply rewarding for experienced students. This practice is more than a workout (although you will break a sweat). It’s a moving meditation rooted in ancient tradition that will leave you feeling steady, energized, and connected to yourself and to the collective.
